Most companies in the GCC have no independent director, no compensation committee, and no governance process — and still face every decision that those structures exist to handle. Who should we hire. What do we pay them. How much equity does an advisor get. Is our cap table going to survive this round. What would an experienced board be asking us right now.
The existing software category doesn't answer any of that. Board portals digitize meetings — packs, agendas, votes, minutes. They assume you already have a functioning board. The alternative is a consultant at several thousand dollars a question.
Boardara is built for the gap in between: the judgment of an experienced independent director, available before you can justify hiring one.
Boardara is a product of Upcapital Global FZCO, operating from Dubai Silicon Oasis, UAE, with a presence in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
We build from the GCC first — not as a localization pass over a US product. DIFC, ADGM, and mainland structures differ from each other and from North American norms, GCC compensation practice is genuinely different, and Arabic governance language has to read as native rather than translated.

Boardara is early. We think the honest way to run an early governance product is to be explicit about what stands behind every number, and equally explicit about what doesn't yet.
So: our recommendations are model-derived, not drawn from a proprietary transaction database we don't have. Where our confidence is low, the product says so and routes you to expert review instead of guessing. We publish that reasoning in full on our methodology page — including the limitations.
We also don't show customer testimonials we haven't earned. When real customers say something worth quoting, we'll quote them by name with permission.
