Boardara gives compensation, cap-table, and governance guidance that a board may act on. You are entitled to know exactly where every number comes from — including its limits.
Every engine is a stage-aware, region-aware model. It takes your inputs (stage, role, jurisdiction, committee coverage, candidate profile) and applies documented governance and compensation conventions — Founder/Advisor Standard Template-style equity frameworks, widely published committee-fee practice, and GCC-specific norms such as cash-heavier retainers, leaner equity, and the persistence of per-meeting fees that US public boards have largely dropped.
Each recommendation ships with a "how this was derived" breakdown naming the basis for every line item, plus a model coverage score (0–100) indicating how well documented conventions cover your specific profile.
We do not currently hold a proprietary dataset of GCC compensation transactions. Our recommendations are model-derived, not the median of a private transaction database. If you see a "model coverage" score, that is a self-assessment of applicability — it is deliberately not a count of comparable records, because we will not present an estimate as an empirical sample.
Building a genuine GCC compensation dataset is our long-term goal. Until it exists and can be described honestly, we would rather tell you the basis is a calibrated model than imply evidence we do not have.
Coverage is thinner outside the UAE and KSA, in less-documented industries, and for unusual candidate profiles. When that happens the engine lowers its confidence score, states the reason, and routes the recommendation to optional expert review or committee escalation rather than presenting a confident number it cannot support.
Boardara is not a law firm, an accounting firm, or a licensed financial adviser, and nothing it produces is legal, tax, or investment advice. Generated agreements are template drafts. Compensation packages should be ratified by your Compensation Committee, and documents reviewed by qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction — DIFC, ADGM, and mainland UAE differ materially, as do Canadian and US regimes.
Cap tables, compensation figures, and financials are among the most sensitive data a company holds. We treat all customer data as confidential and never mix one company's data into another's output. You can export everything we hold or permanently delete your workspace at any time from Settings — see our Privacy Policy.
